- Walking- There are plenty of paths on Snowdon, The Glyders and the Carrneddi and surrounding mountains, Moel Siabod, Cadir Idris and Rhinogs. These walks require mountaineering skills. There is a wealth of low level walking with spectacular views of the mountains to enjoy with out mountaineering skills. History trails to follow and cycle routes provide traffic free walks.
- Mountain Biking- the area boasts much mountain bike trails, from the Marin trails near Betws y Coed to spectacular all weather single track trails centres.
